Especially if you doing a Nintendo spread you get great results from the basic programs such as Microsoft paint. A "designer" is also known as a "problem solver." I feel it does not matter what program you use as long as you "solve the problem." Times change and so does the industry, I once used Microsoft painter in the 90's, in 2000, I switched to Macromedia Freehand (because a friend gave it to me.) In 2003, switched to Adobe. Why you ask? Because inexperienced designers do not know how to save art work, ex: Save as an .EPS or .PDF not an .AI file. It is nice to have Adobe software, just to be on the safe side.

As you progress as a designer, we should all have a fair knowledge of the different programs offered. Corel Draw is actually the best program you can own in the screen printing industry. Most people think you need to buy Adobe to do anything and everything, but that is the talk of an inexperienced designer.

As Noah said, " Use the lightest and most comfortable tool you can use in order to get the job done right." AGREED!

And for the student who said "you call yourself a designer" obviously they have a one track mind, ADOBE WAS NOT THE FIRST DESIGN COMPANY!!!!

myomyers comments on I feel inspired.

Neato!

chris comments on First Print from the Wet Lab

beautiful composition. what a darling subject!

Noah comments on Radio, The Invention that Changed the World

Thank You.
